My 5 years old boy started a Tennis class with Gabriel, Alex, and Kelly last April. He is making a great process:-) The coaching team is very friendly, patient, and professional. My boy now has a great interest in playing tennis. The class has focused on certain skills and knowledge and integrated them in a fun way. All kids are joyful while doing their session. I would recommend RTNZ to everyone!

Both Gabriel and Alex are wonderful coaches filled with energy, knowledge, and techniques to teach tennis. My 10-year-old son loves learning from both coaches, and we parents also think they work perfectly with our son for respective reasons; Gabriel with his more structured and theoretical way and Alex with his young, enthusiastic but calm way of managing kids. They are both very thorough with their coaching, hence I would highly recommend both of them to whoever is looking for a new tennis coach.

My son has only been playing 2 seasons and surprised all of us by winning 2 awards it boosted his confidence and fitness and coordination suitable for different sports. This was achieved by engagement by coaching, this tennis community and friendship he's made in a variety of age groups ( he's 11) from younger children to seniors. He's having FUN. I've seen Gabriel coaching many times and I could see that all the kids are engaged, have fun, and want to come back (this is not the same for all other coaches I've watched so many times from different sports, including tennis ). Birkenhead Tennis Club is a very different place than it was years ago. The determination by some members and coaches is inspiring. An example of this was the paddy day tournament last week. Gabriel has done an exemplary job for the children of our community not just promoting tennis but participation and sportsmanship. This can be seen in the children coming through. Grassroots is where it starts. Sports help develop children at so many levels in this new complicated world in a safe environment with empathetic coaches and senior community members.

Alex has been teaching our 8-year-old son for over six months now and I am very happy with the style of Alex's coaching. Alex and the students are always having fun. In every lesson, Alex is engaged and calmly manages the students, giving equal focus to all. Drills and games are fun, challenging and are constantly evolving as the students' skill level improves. Alex has been coaching my 10-year-old son for a year and has been fantastic for him. My son has enjoyed his coaching so much that this term he asked my wife and I to sign him up for a second weekly coaching session. Alex is very patient and he always oversees how kids behave during the lessons by providing guidance and assistance. Great coach, can work easily with children. My 7-year-old son Nicholas currently enrolled in Gabriel’s class. His coaching skills were awesome which he put science to support and develop Nicholas’ tennis skills. He encourages his students to have fun at the end of each session which I like the most.

My 5 years old son Max has joined the tennis training since February 2018. Coach Gabriel knows how to deal with little ones very well, which helps Max to start to learn tennis. Gabriel is very experienced and patient, plus the training is very enjoyable thus Max really enjoys the lessons.

My son Marco (10) was walking past the courts watching and Gabriel asked him to join. Marco has never done tennis before. He joined the club halfway through the season and went on to win the BHU Under 10 championships. Unbelievable. My children, aged 12 and 15, have been receiving coaching for the past six years under various coaches. Not one has made a significant difference to their games... Until Gabriel. He is amazing! In a matter of weeks, he has gone out of his way to not only source (on his own time) the right racquets my children apparently should have been playing with but has been nothing short of fabulous in nurturing their individual styles and techniques and boosting their confidence - not only on the court but on a personal level as well. When we met with Gabriel and had couples lessons, he invited us to the RomTennisNZ tournament, it was really good and our daughter won at her age level. After that, we use our school holidays studying tennis technics with Gabriel. Gabriel teaching very well, for few lessons my daughter has got lots of knowledge about this game.
