   TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

We would like to keep your booking and tennis experience as easy and straight forward as possible, so it’s important you take a little time to read the following “Terms & Conditions of Service” to understand how MAGIC Tennis manages tennis coaching services and events at all of our clubs/ venues.

The following are the Terms and Conditions of Service for MAGIC Tennis. All customers are required to accept these Terms and Conditions of Service prior to participation in MAGIC Tennis lessons, including but not limited to Holiday Programmes, Private Lessons, and Inter-club Coaching.

MAGIC Tennis customers accept the following terms and conditions by completing and signing the MAGIC Tennis Enrolment Form:

LESSONS

  1. MAGIC Tennis offers 30 min, 1 hr, and 1.5 hr duration classes.

  2. The prepay system preferred by Magic Tennis is usually a set of 8 Pre-paid lessons, so it is not based on periods or timeframe like school terms or holidays. When one set of 8 Pre-paid lessons is finished (regardless of the timeframe), all students from that class have to purchase another set of 8 Pre-paid lessons in order to be able to continue attending that class without needing to formally re-enroll for that class or other similar level classes.

  3. The Magic Tennis’ Pre-paid system is very flexible as it is offering to students the chance to join a class anytime within the 8 lessons cycle, with the only condition of the student having a suitable skill level for that class and places still available in the class.

  4. The payment due date is the day before the first lesson of each Pre-paid set purchased.  Late payment fee: $15. Casual rate: $22/ lesson

  5. MAGIC Tennis can offer a first free trial lesson followed by the customer paying a prorated amount based on the number of lessons left to be done on the prepaid cycle of that particular class.

  6. No lessons are lost by the students if the lessons are canceled by the coach due to unsuitable weather conditions or other factors. These canceled lessons are not counted toward the lessons set and you will not be charged for them. The decision of weather cancelations can be done solely by the coach and has to be officially confirmed by the coach by text message or phone call.   

  7. There are no refunds or make-up lessons for students who haven’t attended a lesson based on their own decision or unavailability if the lesson has already been done by the coach for the rest of the students. Once a lesson has been done by the coach, it is considered done for all the students from the class, including the students who missed the class due to their own decision.

  8. There are no refunds for withdrawals or non‐attendance during the prepaid cycle due to a change of mind, being sick, or other personal reasons. Refunds/credits will only be issued when three or more consecutive classes have been missed (regardless of the reason).

  9. Make‐up classes will be provided for classes that are missed due to Public Holidays, coach unavailability, or lessons canceled by MAGIC Tennis due to unsuitable weather conditions. Usually, the make-up lesson is done on the following week during the usual day and time for that particular class. As an example if  “Lesson No 3” from the Prepaid cycle has been canceled by the coach for different reasons ( specified above), the following week ( same day and time of the week) the coach will do “Lesson No .3”. If a lesson has to be canceled repeatedly ( ex: weather cancellations during the rainy season), the coach will try weakly to do that lesson, until that particular lesson ( ex: “ Lesson 3”) is done.

  10. If a lesson has to be canceled after it has already started ( due to bad weather or other unpredicted events) that lesson is considered done if at least 30 min from the lesson has been done by the moment of cancelation.

  11. If you book a private or group lesson with ANY of our coaches you have the right to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours prior to the lesson, which will ensure the possibility for other players to fill the spot left by the player, or to confirm that the minimum number of players required to hold a group lesson is attending. Otherwise, if the player cancels the lesson without prior notice of a minimum of 24 hours before the lesson, he/she will be charged the full price of the lesson.

 

INJURY

  1. I have voluntarily accepted and assumed the inherent risk or danger of injury in playing tennis and its associated activities, for myself (as a student or parent watching the lesson), or my own children attending the lessons.

  2. In the event of an accident or illness where I am not present, if considered advisable by MAGIC Tennis staff, I request that medical attention be secured at my expense and prompt notification be sent to me.

  3. I declare that my child is medically and physically fit and does not suffer from any injury disease or condition, either physical or mental that would affect his or her ability to safely participate in any authorized or recognized activities run by MAGIC Tennis. If I am unsure about this declaration, or my child does suffer from such a condition, I have listed it on the MAGIC Tennis Enrolment Form. I am aware that I must bring it to the attention of MAGIC Tennis immediately.

  4. I indemnify MAGIC Tennis from all claims, losses, and expenses (including legal costs) suffered or incurred at any time as a result of, or resulting directly or indirectly from, myself or my child’s failure to observe the rules, policies, guidelines, and reasonable directions of MAGIC Tennis staff members.

  5. I consent that MAGIC Tennis may from time to time use photographs, digital imaging, or video media that may include my child, for the promotion of MAGIC Tennis. All media will be tastefully and respectfully used.

 

POOR WEATHER CANCELLATION

  1. In the event of poor weather, customers are requested to contact the coach to inquire if the lesson will run as per normal or be canceled.

  2. Decisions regarding lesson cancellations are under the sole discretion of the tennis coach responsible for the lesson.

  3. In the event of poor weather resulting in the cancellation of the lesson, a make-up lesson is done on the following week during the usual day and time for that particular class/lesson.

  4. In the event that there are multiple cancellations of lessons due to poor weather, the coach will try weakly to do the same lesson, until that particular lesson is done.

  5. If children do not attend make-up lessons, payment will not be refunded nor followed on to the next coaching term/ prepaid cycle.

  6. In the event of poor weather resulting in the cancellation of a lesson once the lesson has commenced, a full charge will apply if at least 30 min from the lesson has been done. If the lesson has been canceled within the first 30 min of the lesson, then the charge is half of the hourly rate.

 

SOCIAL TENNIS EVENTS OR TOURNAMENTS

  1. Payments are due for the specific event in Advance.

  2. Cancellation of the enrolments for any event must be made at least 48 hours prior to the start time or a full fee will be charged.

  3. MAGIC Tennis reserves the right to reduce or cancel the event if there are not sufficient numbers for the session.

  4. If a session is canceled, you will be refunded your entry fee

 

PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

Players must follow staff directions at all times. Aggressive behavior towards staff or other players will not be tolerated.

 

NO SMOKING POLICY

  1. In the interests of Public Health and comfort, smoking is not permitted on the courts, in the changing rooms, or within the administrative areas or clubhouse.

PLAYER ETIQUETTE

  1. Please take all your rubbish with you and leave the tennis courts, changing rooms, and bathrooms clean and tidy for the next player to use and enjoy.

  2. Early morning and late evening players please be mindful of the local residents who live nearby. Try to keep loud conversation and outbursts on the court to a minimum.

  3. Please respect our environment and take your old ball cans and empty drink bottles home where they can be recycled.

 

COMMERCIAL BOOKINGS

  1. For any private bookings or events which require the services of the Coaching staff, (i.e., Event or Tournament Planner/Manager, Run a Team Building or Company On‐Court Training, Tennis Birthday parties) Companies/customers must apply in writing to MAGIC Tennis outlining the exact details of the event that is to be held before any booking considerations can be made.  We will then discuss with the committee of the Tennis Club and provide a response based on the initial request.
